Location and surface area of the Armand de Brignac vineyard
Armand de Brignac is a Champagne brand whose wines stem from fine terroirs in the Montagne de Reims.
What is the history of Armand de Brignac?
The modern history of a unique brand
In 2006, Armand de Brignac unveiled its first cuvée, Brut Gold, a unique and prestigious wine that boasts the excellence of Champagne. Stemming from a rigorous selection of plots and comprising a blend of the last three vintages harvested, this champagne expresses a lively fresh fruity character with a supple texture. This Brut Gold was voted Best Champagne in the world by the Fine Champagne magazine.
A unique bottle reflecting the excellence of a Champagne house
The bottle of an Armand De Brignac champagne is a true work of art by the designer Andre Courreges and is unique in its name, design and dimensions.
The "Ace of Spades" has become the brand's emblem, which can be seen on the French pewter label, meticulously applied to each bottle by hand.
Only around twenty bottles are made by hand each day. Each bottle has a unique character and can be compared with a trophy.
Although Armand de Brignac's wines are not available in half-bottles, these bottles are sold in a standard bottle size as well as in large formats: Magnum (1.5 L), Jeroboam (3 L), Rehoboam (4.5 L), Methuselah (6 L), Salmanazar (9 L), Balthazar (12 L), Nebuchadnezzar (15 L).
Armand de Brignac is the only Champagne house to offer its vintages in 30-liter bottles, an exceptionally large format called Midas, which comprises the equivalent of 40 bottles.
Moët Hennessy Diageo, the wine and spirits branch of LVMH, is in charge of the distribution of these vintages.

Location and exposure
The champagnes by Armand de Brignac stem from the prestigious crus of Rilly-la-Montagne, Chigny-les-Roses and Ludes in the Champagne region.
Geology
Situated on the Montagne de Reims, these vineyards benefit from a rich array of exposures and soils composed mainly of minerals, chalk, sand, clay and limestone.
Climate
The Champagne region benefits from both continental and oceanic climatic influences. As a result, while the sunshine is optimal throughout the summer season, the rainfall is relatively even depending on the year and the temperature variations recorded are minor.
Growing practices
The entire vineyard boasts a HEV (High Environmental Value) level 3 certificate.
Vinification
The hand-picked grapes are meticulously vinified, during which only the very best is kept for the production of these champagnes. The freshness and quality of the Cuvee give it a rare smoothness and balance.
During disgorgement, the addition of tirage liqueur, aged for one year in French oak barrels, confers a delicious complexity and unveils vanilla and toasted notes.
