Description
A great quality Malbec from the Argentinian estate Zuccardi
The estate
Located in Mendoza, the Zuccardi estate is recognised as one of the great wine producing estates in Argentina. Sebastián Zuccardi is the third generation of winemakers at this family estate, which was founded in 1963 when his grandfather planted the first hectares of vines in Maipú. Since January 2000, Sebastián Zuccardi has been at the head of a vineyard of more than 200 hectares at the foot of the Andes, whose wines reflect the richness of the terroirs of the Uco Valley.
Coming from a visionary and forward-looking family, Sebastián Zuccardi created a research and development unit in 2008 dedicated to optimising practices in the vineyard. In 2016, he inaugurated a new winery using uniquely-shaped vats and amphorae - the result of many years of research into how to work the juice in the most natural way possible, while limiting human intervention. All with the aim of preserving the characteristics of each vineyard and enhancing their expression during the winemaking process.
Recognised as one of South America's best winemakers, Sebastián Zuccardi produces Argentinian wines revered by connoisseurs and praised by critics.
Voted in 2019 and 2020 as the best vineyard in South America, the Zuccardi family estate was voted in 2020 as the best vineyard in the world.
