The first page in the history of what was to become the Tiano and Nareno estate was written in 1908, when Sebastiano Accorà (Tiano) and Nazzareno Savina (Nareno) left their native Italy to emigrate to the Mendoza region of Argentina to cultivate vines and settle with their families at the foot of the Andes, the most important wine-producing area in the country.
Their grandson, Ariel Savina, had always wanted to rediscover the style of the first Argentinian wines and produce the best wine in the region from grapes grown in the family vineyard. His collaboration with Didier Depond, President of Champagnes Salon and Delamotte, enabled him to make his dream come true. In 2010, the estate's first vintage, named Tiano et Nareno in homage to his ancestors, was produced.
Rare and exclusive, the estate's wine comes from a meticulous selection of the oldest plots cultivated at the beginning of the 20th century by Tiano and Nareno, located at high altitude in the Vistalba region. Produced only in exceptional years, in quantities of no more than 6,000 bottles, and distributed on an exclusive basis, the quality and rarity of the wine from the Tiano and Nareno estate has rapidly earned it the status of one of the most prestigious wines in Argentina and South America.
