Located north of Venice, in the heart of the magnificent Prosecco region, Villa Sandi has a worldwide reputation for both the superb wines it produces and its deep cultural ties to Italy's Veneto region. At the heart of the estate stands the elegant 17th-century palace, a model of Palatine architecture, placed in a superb green setting with an abundance of antique decorations. The rich history of this exceptional site does not end there. The imposing villa's underground tunnels, used during the Second World War, now guard over a million bottles, waiting patiently out of sight.
This magnificent estate is also renowned for its capacity to innovate. Giancarlo Moretti Polegato, one of the estate's current owners, developed and patented the "cooler bottle," which keeps wine at its ideal temperature.
The Villa Sandi estate is made up of several properties, all located in the heart of the Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita of Valdobbiadene Prosecco, where the grapes for the floral, fruity Prosecco and the famous Il Fresco come from.
Year after year, Villa Sandi continues to distinguish itself as one of Italy's leading producers of Prosecco, reaffirming the consistency of its excellence.
