Nicolas Jay Wines : Key Points

The story of the Nicolas-Jay winery is built on the friendship between Jean-Nicolas Méo, a Burgundian winemaker, and Jay Boberg, an American music producer.

Both passionate about wine and wishing to produce fine American wines, the two founders started to establish their vineyard in the North Willamette Valley. Mostly composed of old vines, this Oregon terroir is completed by the Bishop Creek vineyard, which is organically farmed, as well as the Dundee Hills estate, whose twenty hectares are planted on volcanic soil.

The estate has also established close relationships with certified organic and biodynamic wineries to ensure the supply of high-quality grapes.

Made from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes, the wines of the Nicolas-Jay estate are renowned for their finesse, their aromatic expression and their refinement.
