Since the creation in Beaune in 1880 of the Joseph Drouhin maison, named after its founder, the culture of wine has been rooted in the history of each member of this great family.
During a trip to the United States in 1961, Robert Drouhin, the family’s third generation winemaker, discovered the Oregon vineyards and their wines. A few years later, after graduating in oenology, his daughter Véronique moved to Oregon to work in the vineyards with three pioneering winemaking families in the vast Dundee Hills appellation in Willamette County, south-west of Portland.
In 1987, Robert Drouhin decided to buy plots of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay in the Dundee Hills appellation.

Véronique Drouhin and her brother Philippe have been cultivating their 50-hectare estate for over 30 years, with passion and respect for the skillset coming from their native Burgundy.
Attentive to the terroir and its environment, Domaine Drouhin holds local certification for sustainable viticulture (L.I.V.E.) and produces natural wines. In the pure Burgundian tradition, the grapes are harvested by hand and the wine is made and aged on the estate.
In 2013, the Drouhin family acquired the Roserock estate. Located in the hills of Eola-Amity, with vines planted on ancient volcanic soils, this L.I.V.E-certified estate produces wines of singular aromatic character and exceptional quality.
