Since the 17th century, Henri Giraud champagnes stem from the fertile history that unites the chalk soils of Ay Grand Cru with the unique gaize of the Argonne forest. The imprint of an inimitable style in Champagne. The terroir faces south on a chalky outcropping with very nutrient-poor soils, 20 cm of soil for 200 m of soft chalk. It is bathed by the cool, damp current of the Marne, which flows slowly down towards Paris. The Henri Giraud wines are identifiable due to the three following characteristics: generosity, minty or aniseed freshness (depending on the vintage) and the minerality of the limestone.

Each cuvée is aged like a wine, on its lees, in small oak barrels or other terracotta or sandstone containers, combining the purest of tradition with the best of progress. This natural, low-intervention vinification aims to enhance the terroir and the aromatic richness of the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes.

In its perpetual quest for excellence and advocating quality wines without pesticides, the Henri Giraud Champagne house was the first to display, as of January 2018, an informative label giving access, via a QR Code, to the thorough analysis of its vintages.
