Although Domaine Taupenot-Merme stems from the union between Denise Merme and Jean Taupenot in 1963, the winegrowing tradition of these two Burgundian families harks back to the 18th century.

Located in Morey Saint Denis, in the heart of Burgundy's emblematic terroirs, the estate watches over a 13-hectare vineyard. The vineyard has been organically farmed since 2001, and is unique in that its vines are 35 years old on average, and even 60 years old for some Premiers and Grands Crus.

Like their ancestors, Jean and Denise Taupenot-Merme and their children are constantly striving for excellence and innovation. They have gradually developed the vineyard, improved the winemaking methods and turned the estate into a leading reference among fine Burgundy wines.
