Description
An elegant and aromatic champagne
The producer
The Vranken Champagne House was founded in 1976 by Paul-François Vranken. In 1978, with the help of the Cellar Master Dominique Pichart, Paul-François Vranken created the Vranken style by removing the Cognac, an alcohol obtained from a third distillation of cognac and used in the dosage liqueur, from his cuvées. This process leads to a light, fresh and fruity character that characterises the cuvées of this Champagne house.
The blend
Diamant Blanc de Blancs 2008 by Vranken is a 100% Chardonnay.

The tasting
Colour
Bright and crystalline, this champagne showcases a beautiful pale yellow gold colour with green highlights. The effervescence is delicate and regular.
Nose
Elegant and complex, the nose blends floral (acacia flower) and fruity (orange) fragrances with notes of dried fruit, fresh almonds and hazelnuts.
Palate
Ample and generous, the palate is seduced by this wine’s vivacity, its citrus aromas (pink grapefruit, tangerine), its freshness along with its beautiful length.
Food and wine pairing
Enjoy as an aperitif, Vranken's Cuvée Diamant Blanc de Blancs 2008 will also complement a scallop carpaccio, a seafood cassolette, lobster or Asian fish dishes.
