A brilliant and bold woman, she successfully imposed herself in the business world and became known as "La Grande Dame de la Champagne’’, ‘’the Great Lady of Champagne" towards the end of the 18th century.  She is the great mind behind the invention of the riddling table and boasted her motto: "Only one quality, the finest". Veuve Clicquot is a world-renowned Champagne House and stands out by its bottles, recognisable at first glance, with a yellow label and a vinous style.

The wine

Exclusively for Millésima, the Veuve Clicquot Champagne House unveils its limited edition Brut Carte Jaune Bordeaux box set. Brut Carte Jaune Veuve Clicquot is the House's signature champagne and expresses the uniqueness of the Veuve Clicquot style. With a 10 g/L dosage, this non-vintage cuvée is produced each year from the House's extensive collection of reserve wines. The box set, created especially for Millésima, will truly delight lovers and collectors of limited edition champagnes by Veuve Clicquot.

The blend

Veuve Clicquot’s Brut Carte Jaune Champagne comprises a blend of 30 to 45% reserve wines that stem from 50 to 60 different crus, including Premiers Crus and Grands Crus. The blend is composed of 50 to 55% Pinot Noir that provides structure, 28 to 33% Chardonnay that provides an elegant and fine expression and 15 to 20% Pinot Meunier.

Colour
The Champagne Brut Carte Jaune by Veuve Clicquot has a beautiful yellow gold colour with fine bubbles.

Nose
Intensely fruity and expressive, the nose of Veuve Clicquot's Brut Carte Jaune champagne presents beautiful notes of yellow and white fleshy fruits such as mirabelle plum, peach or pear. Gourmet vanilla notes emerge when aerated, along with pastry notes reminiscent of freshly-baked brioche.

Palate
On the palate, Veuve Clicquot’s Brut Carte Jaune is the very essence of the House's style. The palate combines power, structure, finesse, elegance and a silky texture.
