Description
The finesse and intensity of a Tuscan red wine
The estate
A family-run vineyard, Castello Banfi has become a benchmark among Tuscan wines over the years. Renowned for its great Italian wines, the Banfi family pays meticulous attention to its vineyards, as demonstrated by the research carried out since 1982 on cloning the Sangiovese grape variety to produce exceptional Brunello di Montalcino wines.
The vineyard
Castello Banfi's Poggio all'Oro Riserva 2007 is a Tuscan wine that has only been produced in the best vintages since 1985. It comes from vineyards planted on soils composed of brown silty clay sediments and limestone stones and pebbles that ensure optimum drainage.

Vinification for 12 to 14 days in temperature-controlled stainless steel and wooden vats. Aged for 30 months in barrels. This Brunello Montalcino wine is aged in bottle for a further 12 to 18 months before being released on the market.
