Description
The vivacity and balance of a Mendoza red wine
The estate
It was during a first trip in 1988 to South America, and in particular to Mendoza, that the American winemaker Paul Hobbs launched his plan to create a wine estate on great high altitude terroirs. Vina Cobos was established in 1998 in Luján de Cuyo, an exceptional terroir in the foothills of the Andes.
In his constant pursuit of excellence, this expert breaks the rules with his innovative approach to vineyard management and winemaking. Made from a meticulous selection of eminent high-altitude vineyards, the estate's wines delight with their minerality, their balance and their finesse.
A visionary and passionate winemaker, Paul Hobbs has become, over the years, a major player in the development of Malbec and in the growing international reputation of Argentinean wines.
