A Bordeaux rosé wine combining freshness and balance
The property
Owned by the Bernard family since 1983, the magnificent Domaine de Chevalier is at the top of the greatest Classified Growths of Bordeaux. Like a secret garden, this emblematic cru of the Pessac-Léognan appellation is located in a green setting south of Bordeaux.
The vineyard
Domaine de Chevalier watches over a rare vineyard with a total area of 67 hectares. A true mosaic of terroirs, this vineyard is planted on fine gravel soils resting on an ideally drained clay-gravel subsoil.
The wine
For more than 25 years, the property has been producing the Rosé de Chevalier in the Bordeaux Wines appellation. This Bordeaux rosé wine, produced in small quantities, is presented in an aesthetic and high-end bottle whose original label reflects the modernity and nobility of this wine.
Vinification and aging
The Rosé de Chevalier from Domaine de Chevalier is made using the so-called "bleeding" method. Once harvested, the unfermented juices (mainly from cabernet sauvignon) are directly pressed and fermented separately. This choice of vinification promotes the production of a rosé with a brilliant color and intense fruity aromas. With beautiful freshness, this rosé reveals great delicacy throughout the tasting.
Blend
Cabernet sauvignon (60%)
Cabernet franc (40%).
