The estate
Founded in 1923 in Burgundy, La Chablisienne is the largest producer of Chablis wines and one of the most renowned winemaking cooperative in France.
Spread over an extraordinary array of climats, the La Chablisienne vineyard allows you to explore all the distinctive features of this clay-limestone Kimmeridgian terroir and the minerality of Chardonnay, the mythical grape variety of Chablis.
The vineyard
This 2018 Chablis 1er Cru Montmains by La Chablisienne is a Chablis wine that stems from a vineyard located on the left bank of the Serein river, facing south-east and with vines that are 25 years old on average.
Vinification and ageing
The musts are subjected to a cold static settling before fermentation. Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation are carried out in barrels and vats.
This Chablis 1er Cru Montmains 2018 by La Chablisienne is aged on fine lees for 12 months in vats and barrels.
