The wine

Produced in the IGT Toscana appellation and only during the best years, Montesodi is made from the Sangiovese grape in the vineyard which has its name. It is an exceptional wine that was first produced in 1974. According to the estate, Montesodi is characterised by its aromatic expression and endurance on the palate.

Colour
The colour is of a shining ruby red.

Nose
Floral from the start, the nose opens out to cherry blossom, violet and hibiscus notes. Crunchy small fruit scents follow, mingled with spicy notes recalling licorice and pepper. Finally, this aromatic discovery is finished off with graphite and mineral notes appearing.

Palate
On the palate, the attack shows a lovely fruity freshness, giving off a full and dense substance, with ripe and silky tannins. The lasting finish of Frescobaldi - Tenuta di Nipozzano : Montesodi 2016 stretches out, keeping its juicy fruitiness.
