A rich and complex red wine from Saint-Julien
Château Talbot is a red wine produced in the Saint-Julien appellation. This 4ème Cru Classé en 1855 benefits from a vineyard of 102 hectares, aged 60 years on average and planted on Médoc gravel. The wine is aged in barrels (50% in new barrels). The 2012 vintage blends 59% Cabernet Sauvignon, 36% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot.
With its dense and deep ruby colour, the Château Talbot 2012 develops a nose of great richness, with a clever marriage of fruity and floral aromas (black and violet fruits). Extensive on the palate with a smooth attack, the wine reveals richness and great complexity, before a finish with beautiful length, in harmony with silky tannins.
