The estate
Château Talbot, 4th Cru Classé of Saint-Julien, is one of the Médoc's most emblematic names. Acquired by Désiré Cordier in 1918, Château Talbot is now run by Nancy Bignon-Cordier and her husband, Jean-Paul Bignon.
The vineyard
Château Talbot 2010 is a Saint-Julien wine from a 105 hectare single vineyard in the heart of the appellation. The vines are 58 years old on average and benefit from soils made up of Medoc gravel.
Winemaking and ageing
The ageing of the wine took place in barrels, of which half were new.

Cabernet Sauvignon (62%)
Merlot (33%)
Petit verdot (5%).

Nose
The nose is subtle, releasing fruity (prunes) and toasted scents which mingle with woody undertones.
Palate
The palate is full-bodied and fleshy with a great depth. The finish entices with refined yet delicate tannins and its delicious licorice notes.
