Description

A racy and intense Classified First Growth from Graves

Chateau Haut-Brion red 2016 is one of the 1st Classified Growth in Graves. The 2016 vintage experienced exceptional weather conditions. The magnificent terroir of Haut-Brion, protected the vines from the severe droughts. 2016 is a blend of 56% Merlot, 6.5% Cabernet Franc and 37.5% of Cabernet Sauvignon. The grapes were harvested from. September 19th to October 13th. 2016 has more Merlot than the 2015 vintage.

Chateau Haut-Brion red 2016 has a bright violetred colour with garnet reflections. It has a complex aromatic structure. The charm of this vintage presents striking scents of violets and red and black fruits. In the mouth, this wine is juicy, dense and ample. From the attack to the finish, the acidity is well-defined. The wine has a beautiful weight and the tannins are enveloping and creamy. The finish is long and beautifully-balanced. Undoubtedly one of the most beautiful bottles of Haut-Brion in the legacy of 2010 as a remarkable vintage
