Description
A fine and seductive red wine from the Côte de Beaune showcasing a fine and aromatic expression
The estate
Founded in 1750, Chanson is one of the most famous estates in Burgundy. The estate is located in a watchtower-like bastion, built in the early 16th century, with 8-metre thick walls, nicknamed "La Tour des Filles" and now used to house the wines during the ageing period. Well-known by lovers of fine Burgundian wines, the Chanson Père & Fils estate offers secret vintages that brilliantly reveal the expression of the finest wine-producing villages in the Côte de Beaune.
The Chanson estate owns 45 hectares of vines located exclusively in Premiers Crus and Grands Crus in the most prestigious villages of the Côte de Beaune. With 25 hectares in Beaune, Chanson is considered a specialist of the very finest Beaune Premiers Crus.
The vineyard
A fine Beaune wine, this Bressandes 1er Cru 2015 by Chanson Père & Fils stems from a two-hectare vineyard located at end of a valley with a northern exposure. This Premier Cru is named after Jean Bressand, Canon of Beaune and owner of this vineyard in the 13th century. This climate is distinctive due to its light clay-limestone soils resting on the bedrock.
The blend
Pinot Noir (100%) from a clonal selection with a vine planted in 1992.
