Description
Jacquesson releases a fresh and refined Blanc de Blancs champagne
The estate
Located in Dizy in the heart of the Marne Valley, the Jacquesson Champagne House, founded in 1798, was taken over by the Chiquet family in 1974. Brothers Jean-Hervé and Laurent Chiquet, passionate for wine, produce exceptional cuvées expressing the unique character and richness of these very large terroirs of 28 hectares of chalk, thanks to their plot-based approach and their winemaking and ageing philosophy.
With its numerous vintages renowned for their finesse, their airy purity and their exceptional ageing potential, Jacquesson is among the elite of the great names in Champagne.
The wine
Jacquesson's 2013 Avize Champ Caïn is a Blanc de Blancs champagne produced on a terroir composed of chalky clay-sand-silt soils with chalk gravels on Campanian chalk. The total surface area of production is 1 hectare 30. The vineyard was planted in 1962.
Blend
Jacquesson's 2013 Avize Champ Caïn is 100% Chardonnay.
