The producer
A family-owned estate for five generations, J.L. Vergnon advocates a delicious alchemy between tradition, passion for the terroir and the authentic expression of a flagship grape variety of Champagne, Chardonnay.
The vineyard
The vineyards of the J.L. Vergnon Champagne House are composed of Grands Crus from the Côte des Blancs and Premiers Crus from the villages of Vertus and Villeneuve. The house watches over a vineyard of around twenty plots, managed in a sustainable manner and bearing the HVE 3 label.
The wine
J.L.Vergnon's MSNL Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Extra Brut 2011 is made from the Les Chetillons and Mussettes parcels located in Mesnil sur Oger.
Vinification and ageing
This champagne is vinified and aged in stainless steel tanks. It is aged in the estate's cellars for 7 years before disgorging. The dosage is 3 g/litre.

The tasting
Colour

Nose
The first nose opens with notes of white fruits and grilled almonds. When aerated, the bouquet becomes more complex, blending delicious lemon, bread and pastry fragrances with a beautiful minerality.
Palate
Lively and precise, the palate is seduced by this champagne’s silky feel and its saline, mineral and persistent finish.

For an optimal tasting, serve between 9 and 10°C.
