Description
A precise and delicious Extra-Brut champagne
The producer
Boasting a heritage of traditional know-how, the Gosset Champagne House has perpetuated its style over the centuries. The Gosset family has been established in Aÿ, a Grand Cru of Champagne, since the 16th century. For 16 generations, the Gosset Champagne House has been perpetuating excellence. The house is currently guarded by Odilon de Varine, the Cellar Master and Deputy General Manager. The house's champagnes are recognisable particularly due to the distinctive shape of its bottle, which was inspired by the "antique" bottles used in the 18th century.
The vineyard

Cuvée Extra-Brut: Characteristics and tasting tips
The tasting
Colour
Bright, pale colour. The effervescence is delicate and persistent.
Nose
The nose is very precise, mixing fragrances of white flowers (acacia, hawthorn) with flavoursome notes of pear.
Palate
The palate is seduced by this champagne’s purity, its vivacity and its creamy feel. The palate perfectly translates the fragrances of the nose, complemented by fruity aromas (vine peach, mirabelle plum, greengage). The ageing on the lees for 4 years is expressed through the delectable aromas on the palate, expressing the beautiful maturity of this cuvée.
Food and wine pairing
The Extra-Brut by Gosset is ideal as an aperitif.
