Description
The aromatic palette and refinement of a Barrossa Valley red wine by Two Hands
The estate
Michael Twelftree and Richard Mintz founded Two Hands in 1999, their goal being to produce wines that highlight the nuances and aromatic potential of fine Australian wines.
The vineyard
Spread across six different regions, Two Hands' vineyards produce wines that enhance the potential and nuances of each terroir. Each plot is managed independently, from harvesting, through to fermentation, oak ageing and bottling, in order to allow the wine to express its full character and identity. Since its creation, Two Hands has been committed to producing organic wines. "Quality without compromise" is the core value of this visionary company, be it in the way they make their wines or in their choice of names and labels.
The wine
This 2019 Bella's Garden Shiraz by Two Hands comprises a blend of the finest Shiraz barrels from great Barossa Valley terroirs (Ebenezer, Gomersal, Greenock, Kalimna, Marananga, Moppa Hills, Seppeltsfield, Stockwell, Stonewell).
The vines are between 17 and 40 years old and are located between 200 and 320 metres above sea level. The red colour on the label refers to the red/brown clay soil, whose low yields give this wine an impressive richness and tannic structure.
The blend
100% Shiraz.
The tasting
This Two Hands Bella's Garden Shiraz 2019 is seductive due to its aromatic complexity, its finesse and its smooth feel.
