Description
Two Hands produces a Barrossa Valley red wine that is seductively complex and precise
The estate
Michael Twelftree and Richard Mintz founded Two Hands in 1999 with the ambition of producing wines that highlight the nuances and aromatic potential of fine Australian wines.
The vineyard
Spread across six different regions, Two Hands' vineyards produce wines that magnify the potential and nuances of each terroir. Each plot is managed independently, from harvesting, through to fermentation, oak ageing and bottling, in order to allow the wine to express its full character and identity. Since its creation, Two Hands has been committed to producing organic wines. "Quality without compromise" is the core value of this visionary company, be it in the way they make their wines or in their choice of names and labels.
The wine
Brave Faces 2019 by Two Hands pays tribute to the winemakers of the Barossa Valley.
Vinification and ageing
Plot-based vinification. Partial destemming before crushing. Skin contact maceration for approximately 15 days. Aged for 12 months in concrete vats and in different-sized barrels (puncheon barrels from 316 to 320 litres and hogsheads casks from 237 to 240 litres).
The blend
Two Hands’ Brave Faces 2019 comprises a blend of Grenache, Mourvèdre and Shiraz.
