In the mystical land of Priorat with its black slate llicorella soils, Carthusian monks were among the first to cultivate the vines here as early as 1095. Salmos, the iconic mythical brand from Bodegas Torres, means "psalm” and it pays tribute to those pioneers. In 1996, the Torres family decided to conquer the Priorat lands located in Catalonia, Spain when they realized the potential of the vineyards. Salmos was then born.

The Bodegas Torres Salmos 2014 is a vintage that showcases all the freshness and elegance of Priorat wines. It is a blend of the typical Priorat varieties, Cariñena (Carignan), Garnacha tinta (Grenache) and Syrah, all which grow on an exceptional terroir that reveal the wine’s unique personality.

The elegant and intensely aromatic bouquet explodes with notes of ripe fruit that seem almost candied, along with black cherry, kirsch and garrigue herb aromas. On the palate, the vintage seduces with its varietal typicity. With finesse and refinement, the mouthfeel is elegantly structured that highlights the juicy and generous fruit, and it stretches until a persistent and enjoyable finish.
