Pioneers and enthusiasts, the Torres family selects the finest varieties in order to produce great wines that authentically reveal the expression of their original terroirs.
The vineyard
Mas de la Rosa Vinyes Velles 2018 by Torres is a Priorat wine made from a rigorous selection of the finest grapes that stem from a 1.86-hectare vineyard at Finca Mas de la Rosa estate in the Porrera region. These old vines are over 80 years old and are planted at an altitude of between 430 and 480 metres above sea level on a sloping southeast facing terroir.
The vintage
2018 was a year marked by heavy rainfall and relatively cool temperatures. The milder conditions at the end of the vegetative cycle are ideal to ensure a good ripeness level of the vineyard.
Vinification and ageing
