A distinguished white wine from Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru
A single-varietal Chardonnay produced in the Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru appellation, the Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru "Clos Saint-Marc" by Olivier Leflaive comes from a 1.71 hectare vineyard. Aged 20 years on average, the vines benefit from a terroir consisting of clay-limestone soils. The wine is aged in barrels (a quarter in new barrels) over a period of 16 months.
Le Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru "Clos Saint-Marc" 2011 by Olivier Leflaive is bursting with flavours of honey, sweet almonds and ripe apples, along with subtle notes of orange blossom. Elegant in the mouth, the wine shows a beautiful structure thanks to a lively and vibrant finish. To be consumed before 2020.
