Château Minuty’s tribute to art and nature in a wine with an intense aromatic expression

The estate

Built during Napoléon III’s reign, Château Minuty was bought by Gabriel Farnet in 1936, who strove to restore it to all of its former glory. In 1955, the estate entered the small circle of 23 Classified Growths in the Côtes de Provence wine appellation. The estate then crossed paths with Monique and Étienne Matton who, thanks to their dedicated work, greatly contributed to establishing Château Minuty’s reputation on the finest tables in Côte d’Azur. Today, the brothers Jean-Etienne and François Matton are taking over the estate in a dignified manner, infusing it with a modern spirit.

The vineyard

At the heart of the Provence wine region, the 160 hectares of vines at Château Minuty cover the Saint-Tropez peninsula. On the hillsides of Gassin and Ramatuelle, the vineyard enjoys a Mediterranean climate. With south-west exposure, the sea breezes coming from the coast allow for the grapes’ sanitary state to be preserved throughout the year. The Grenache, Cinsault and Syrah grape varieties from this Limited Edition M de Minuty x Madi 2020 cuvée are produced from a rigorous selection from the best terroirs of the Côtes de Provence. Cultivated through sustainable viticulture, the vines are cared for in a well-preserved environment with a rich ecosystem.

The wine

Minuty has displayed its love for art through its colours and shapes, as well as its Limited Edition M de Minuty, for three years. This year, the prestigious Provençal estate is celebrating nature through collaborating with the French artist, Madi. A mix between fantasy and Mediterranean light, M de Madi is a reminder of how nature is just as beautiful as it is precious.

Vinification and ageing

After the carefully hand-picked harvests, the harvested berries are taken to the cellar for pressing, followed by a very precise settling. Subsequently, the wine ferments at a low temperature to preserve all of the beauty of the aromatic character of the fruits.
