During this vintage, a severe frost hit Burgundian estates in April however, the vineyard of the Clos des Lambrays was spared but suffered from a significant mildew pressure. The mild conditions during the summer favoured the optimal ripening of the grapes which, despite low yields, revealed a rare quality and a rich expression. A fine vintage!

The late budbreak and flowering period were offset by an exceptionally hot and dry summer. These conditions did not cause water stress thanks to the water reserves. This elegant Château d'Yquem 2016 reveals a complex nose as well as a lively, aerial and beautifully fresh palate.

Although the year 2016 was marked by dry weather conditions, a fine end-of-season enabled the entire vineyard to reach optimal ripeness. A fruity, floral and spicy nose precedes a full and well-balanced palate whose powerful and refined tannins blend with a refreshing acidity.
