Description
A fresh and aromatic red wine from Chambolle-Musigny
The estate
Founded in 1797, the Louis Latour House is now represented and headed by the family’s 11th generation, Louis-Fabrice Latour. As a wine merchant and winemaker, the Louis Latour house owns the largest estate of Grands Crus in Burgundy.
The vineyard
Chambolle-Musigny is one of the smallest appellations in the Côte de Nuits, comprising 24 Premier Crus.
The wine
This Chambolle-Musigny 1er cru 2016 by Louis Latour stems from a terroir with vines that are 30 years old on average and are planted on limestone soil, known to provide both fragrances and elegance to the wines.
Vinification and ageing
The hand-picked grapes undergo traditional fermentation in open tanks. The wines undergo a complete malolactic fermentation. The wine is aged in new French oak barrels from Louis Latour’s cooperage (100%), for 10 to 12 months.

Pinot Noir (100%).
