Description
The harmonious and racy style of a great Chablis
An emblematic cuvee from Domaine Jean-Marc Brocard, Chablis Vieilles Vignes Sainte Claire 2017 reveals the expression of the great terroir of Chablis, which is the "Golden Gate" of Burgundy.
With precision, strength and freshness, the Chablis Vieilles Vignes Sainte Claire 2017 Brocard expresses the identity of a great Chablis with vines over 70 years old whose roots go down to more than 25 metres deep.
As a monovarietal wine, the Chablis Vieilles Vignes Sainte Claire 2017 transcribes the expression of a Chardonnay from one of the largest limestone terroirs in the world, which is the renowned Kimmeridgian limestone.
Brilliant expressiveness in its youth, this Chablis has a bright pale yellow colour with shimmering green highlights. The elegant aromatic bouquet opens with delicate perfumed white flower notes and fresh citrus notes. The ample and generous palate charms with its delicate apricot and toasty dried fruit notes. The depth of this wine stretches all the way to the finish to give a persistent, saline finish. A balanced Chablis with complete harmony and elegantly raciness that will reach its peak by 2025.
