Domaine La Rouillère releases an aromatic and elegant Côtes de Provence wine

The estate

In the heart of the Saint-Tropez peninsula, the Domaine La Rouillère, created in 1900, was given a fresh start in 1998 with the purchase of the estate by Bernard and Magali Letartre. Combining tradition and innovation, these two enthusiasts express all the charm of these soils through rosé wines recognised for their quality and aromatic expression.

The vineyard

La Rouillère 2022 is produced from 9 hectares of leased vineyards in Saint-Tropez, located around the famous Baie des Canoubiers. Sun-drenched and tempered by the sea breeze, the 45 hectare vineyard of Domaine La Rouillère is the source of great Côtes de Provence wines.

Winemaking and ageing

Following the harvest, the grapes wedre cooled by a tubular exchanger as soon as they arrived in the cellar. The grapes were then pneumatically pressed followed by a first selection of the juice. Fermentation was temperature-controlled between 16 and 17°C, then the wine was racked to be aged on fine lees until bottling.

Tasting

This rosé wine unveils scents of Mediterranean citrus fruit which last through to a lingering, saline finish.

Storage

This Côtes de Provence rosé wine can be enjoyed today, and can be laid down until 2023.
