The estate

In the heart of the Saint-Tropez peninsula, the Domaine La Rouillère, created in 1900, was given a fresh start in 1998 with the purchase of the estate by Bernard and Magali Letartre. Combining tradition and innovation, these two enthusiasts express all the charm of these soils through rosé wines recognised for their quality and aromatic expression.

The vineyard

Planted on land that is sun-drenched and tempered by the sea breeze, the 45 hectare vineyard of Domaine La Rouillère is the source of great Côtes de Provence wines.

Winemaking and ageing

Following the harvest, the grapes were cooled by a tubular exchanger as soon as they arrived in the cellar. The grapes were then pneumatically pressed, followed by a first selection of the juice. Fermentation was temperature-controlled and the wine was racked to be aged on fine lees until bottling.

Tasting

Colour
The wine is of a very pale pink colour.

Nose
The nose has fine notes of ripe fruit (apricot, fig) which develop into dried fruit scents.

Palate
The palate is round, unveiling a lovely balance as well as a finish with delicious mandarin scents.

To serve

It is recommended serving this rosé at a temperature between 10 and 12°C inclusive.

Storage

This Côtes de Provence rosé wine can be enjoyed today, and can be laid down until 2024.
