Description
A white wine from Meursault with an alluring elegance and complexity
The estate
Located in the heart of the Côte de Beaune, in Meursault, Domaine du Château de Meursault is one of Burgundy's most iconic estates. Boasting a century-old history, Château de Meursault is a true gem among the finest Meursault wines, currently owned by the Halley family.
The vineyard
The 1er cru "Les Charmes Dessus" 2021 by Domaine du Château de Meursault is a Meursault wine that stems from a 3-hectare vineyard located at the foot of hill. If the "Les Charmes" ‘’climat’’ is known to produce excellent wines, "Les Charmes-Dessus" is the most qualitative part of this vineyard. The east-facing vines lie on a soil composed of hard Jurassic limestone and marly limestone.
Vinification and ageing
Following the harvest, the grapes are sorted by hand, followed by pressing and settling. Alcoholic fermentation for 15 days in barrels. Aged for 15 to 18 months.
The blend
Chardonnay (100%).
