A great Margaux red wine that harmoniously combines finesse and potency
The estate
Château Rauzan-Ségla, Margaux Grand Cru Classé, is one of those prestigious Bordeaux wines with a particularly exciting history. For 350 years, Rauzan-Ségla has sought precision by following same methods, combining art and mastery. Second Cru Classé in 1855, Château Rauzan-Ségla is one of the most respected names in the Margaux appellation.
The vineyard
The vines are 30 years old on average and spread across 66 hectares. In the heart of the Margaux appellation, the vineyard of Château Rauzan-Ségla is located near the Gironde River, on fine, deep clay gravel typical of this terroir. The vineyard is composed of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot.
