Description
An aromatic and balanced micro-cuvée from Margaux
The estate
Founded in 2001, Château Marojallia is located between the vineyards of Château Le Tertre and Château Mombrison, within the Margaux appellation on the left bank of Bordeaux. Advised by Muriel Andraud, creator with her husband Jean-Luc Thunevin of the first garage wine in Saint-Émilion, Philippe Porcheron produces a great wine from a micro-terroir that magnifies the exceptional potential of the Margaux appellation. Made with rigor, passion and a perpetual quest for excellence, the wines of Château Marojallia are recognized by the greatest critics for their aromatic richness and quality.
The vineyard
With an area of 5.83 hectares, the vineyard of Château Marojallia consists of vines about 60 years old, planted on deep gravel and sandy loam typical of the Margaux appellation.
The vintage
The winter and spring are marked by mild conditions. The warm days of September combined with cool nights are ideal conditions for achieving perfect maturity.
Vinification and aging
Harvested manually, the grapes undergo vinification in conical stainless steel tanks. Maceration time: 30-38 days. Pre-fermentation macerations at cold temperatures for 5 days at 6°C. The aging is carried out exclusively in barrels (100% new French barrels - 7 coopers).
Blend
Cabernet sauvignon (70%) and merlot (30%).
