Description
The unique style and elegance of a Provence rosé signed Château Malherbe
The property
Located in Bormes-les-Mimosas, in the heart of Provence, the Château Malherbe occupies a unique 25-hectare preserved terroir, on the edge of the Mediterranean Sea, near Cap Bénat, Fort de Brégançon and Pointe du Diable. For four generations, the Ferrari family has passionately cultivated the lands of the Malherbe estate.
The vineyard
The estate, spread over 25 hectares, includes two distinct terroirs that give birth to two ranges of wines: "Malherbe" and "Pointe du Diable". The "Malherbe" range, from a clayey-schist terroir, offers ample and sunny Côtes de Provence wines, marked by a strong minerality. The "Pointe du Diable" range, located on the edge of the coast on a sandy soil enriched with quartz, produces fine and elegant wines, with a refreshing iodized touch thanks to the influence of sea breezes.
Vinification
The harvest is carried out manually and the grapes are harvested whole for this rosé, obtained by direct pressing. Fermentation is carried out with natural yeasts and is followed by a malolactic fermentation to facilitate the digestibility of the wine. The aging takes place on fine lees in stainless steel tanks for a period of four months.
