Barbaresco Crus Collection 2020, nine exceptional crus to explore

The estate

Founded in 1958 by the village priest of Barbaresco, Produttori del Barbaresco is today one of the most respected wine cooperatives in the world. It stands out for its uncompromising qualitative approach, rivaling the best independent producers in the region. The cooperative brings together 53 winegrowers on 100 hectares, with a demand for quality and rigorous yield management.

The vintage

The 2020 vintage in Barbaresco experienced a mild winter, an early spring, and then a moderate summer, without water stress. After a heatwave in August, rains promoted balanced ripening. Harvested in early October, the nebbiolo offers a beautiful balance between aromas, tannins, and acidity. A very good vintage, complex, with good aging potential.

The collection

This collection of nine exceptional crus, accompanied by a detailed map, invites you to a unique sensory journey to discover the multiple expressions of Barbaresco.

Pora and Rio Sordo, close to the watercourse, produce elegant wines with floral aromas of dried rose and violet. More centrally, Ovello, Asili and Pajé combine the finesse of terroirs near the river with the power of more distant areas. Finally, Muncagota, Rabajà, Montestefano and Montefico, located further back, produce the most intense and powerful Barbaresco, revealing all the depth of the nebbiolo.
