Domaine D'Aigues Belles Wines : Key Points

Located around 40 km away from Nîmes and Montpellier, Domaine d'Aigues Belles was founded by Eugène Bosc in the 1870s and is managed by Louis and Robert Palatan.

The estate watches over a 21-hectare vineyard, of which 19 are in production, that is situated in the area known as "Aiguebelle". The vines are planted on arid, stony soils with clay and limestone subsoils.

From the 1950s onwards, following the difficult post-war period, the family estate's production was destined for the Carnas and Corconne wine cooperatives. Following a complete restructuring of the vineyard, which had been decimated by frost, Domaine d'Aigues Belles started writing a new chapter in 2000. The Palatan family, the fourth generation of estate owners, thouroughly renovated the production tools in order to produce fine Languedoc wines that express the identity of the many grape varieties that make up its terroir.

Although the red wines exude the nuances of several grape varieties (Grenache, Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cinsault, Mourvèdre), the white wines are made from Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Roussanne and Vermentino.
