The estate
The La Pèira estate was founded in 2004 by Karine Ahton, a French lawyer, and Robert Dougan, an American film music composer.
Comprising a surface area of 11 hectares, the estate plays an active role in elevating the reputation of Languedoc wines through vintages that are renowned for their finesse and aromatic complexity.
The vineyard
Deusyls de la Pèira 2019 by La Pèira is an IGP Pays de l'Hérault wine that stems from vineyards located in the Bellefeuille and Les Pointes areas. The vines are 10 years old on average.
Vinification and ageing
The hand-picked grapes are 100% destemmed before being rigorously sorted on a vibrating table then on a manual table. 80% of the wine is vinified in temperature-controlled vats. Settling before fermentation. The wine is aged on fine lees for 10 months in barrels (20% of which are third-fill barrels).
