Description
The refinement and balance of a red wine from Médoc
The property
Located in the north of Médoc, to the west of the Bordeaux region, the Château Potensac has belonged to the same family for many generations. This property has always been passed down from mother to daughter. Today, it is Jean-Hubert Delon's turn, grandson of Georgette Liquard, to ensure the radiance of this château considered as a true emblem of the wines of the northern Médoc.
The vineyard
The Château Potensac 2023 is a Médoc wine from a 61-hectare vineyard located in the heart of the appellation. The vines are situated on clay-gravelly hillsides resting on a limestone subsoil, giving the wine minerality, tension and freshness. The oldest cabernet franc, cabernet sauvignon and merlot vines were planted in 1920 and 1930.
Blend
The Château Potensac 2023 is the result of a blend of cabernet sauvignon (48%), merlot (35%) and cabernet franc (17%).
