Description
A Saint-Emilion red wine with a seductive aromatic richness and finesse
The estate
Château La Mondotte is a wine estate dating from the 19th century. Since recently, this Premier Grand Cru Classé of Saint-Émilion has been managed by Stephen Von Neipperg. From a German family immersed in the world of viticulture for almost 8 centuries, Stephen von Neipperg manages La Mondotte with great personal passion and talent.
The vineyard
Château La Mondotte 2021 is a Saint-Emilion wine made from a 4.5 hectare vineyard located to the east of the medieval town. The old vines are 60 years old on average and are planted on a tapestry of soils, with silty clay soils on a rocky subsoil. The vineyard is run using certified organic farming practices.

The blend
Château La Mondotte 2021 comprises a blend of Merlot (85%) and Cabernet Franc (15%).
