Description
A balanced Saint-Julien wine exuding intense aromas
The producer
Created by Henri Martin, Château Gloria is one of the most iconic estates of the Saint-Julien appellation, on the left bank of Bordeaux. The estate’s originality lies in the strength of its vineyard, meticulously built up by Henri Martin, following the purchase of plots from Grands Crus Classés in 1855.
The vineyard
Located in the Saint-Julien AOC (Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée), Château Gloria’s vineyard spreads over 50 hectares of vines which are planted on a soil composed of Günz gravel and a sandy-clay subsoil.
The vinification and ageing
The wine is aged in barrels (45% of which are new).
The blend
Cabernet Sauvignon (60%)
Merlot (30%)
Petit Verdot (6%)
Cabernet Franc (4%).
