Description
An elegant and fresh Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classé
The estate
The terroir of Château Faugères harks back to the 19th century. In 1987, Pierre-Bernard Guire and his wife inherited the estate and elevated its vineyard, with the help of Michel Rolland, to the highest level of the Saint-Émilion appellation. The estate's teams are constantly in search for quality, aiming to express the estate’s unique terroir in the glass.
The vineyard
A Grand Cru Classé, Château Faugères produces Saint-Emilion wines that stem from a 34.85-hectare vineyard.
Vinification and ageing
Vatting for 25 to 30 days in wooden vats. The wine is aged in French oak barrels for 12 months (1/3 new, 1/3 second-fill and 1/3 third-fill).
The blend
Merlot (75%), Cabernet Franc (20%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (5%).

Expressive and lively, the nose combines fruity (blueberries, sloes, black cherries) and floral fragrances.
