Description
A fresh and fruity red wine from Margaux
The property
Ranked as an Exceptional Cru Bourgeois, the Château d’Arsac is one of the oldest crus in the Médoc, on the left bank of Bordeaux. Owned by Philippe Raoux since 1986, the property has undergone a bold and original renovation. In a decidedly contemporary spirit, Château d’Arsac stands out with its stainless steel-clad cellar, a glass roof with raw materials, and its Klein blue color. The estate also hosts numerous artistic exhibitions in its Contemporary Art Sculpture Garden. The wines of Château d’Arsac, renowned, are produced under the Margaux and Haut-Médoc appellations.
The vineyard
This Margaux vineyard, covering an area of 54 hectares, benefits from a terroir composed of a brown gravelly soil on a sandy-clay subsoil.
Vinification and aging
The wine is aged exclusively in oak barrels, in new barrels for a third, one wine for a third and two wines for the last third, for a period of 12 months.
Blend
72% cabernet sauvignon and 28% merlot.
