The producer

Dom Pérignon Champagne owes its name to the famous monk of the Abbey of Hautvillers in 1668, Pierre Pérignon, known as Dom Pérignon. It is said that Pierre Pérignon discovered what is now called the « méthode champenoise ». Dom Pérignon is a luminous champagne house that is directly inspired by its founder's philosophy, which is to seek the ultimate perfection of champagne wine.

The vineyard

Dom Pérignon cultivates vines comprised of the Champagne region’s three main grape varieties, namely Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. Its champagnes are renowned for stemming from absolutely exceptional terroirs.

The wine

This champagne is the result of a collaboration between Dom Pérignon and Lady Gaga which seals the encounter of two creative visions. Lady Gaga, known for her mastery of the art of reinvention, and Dom Pérignon, praised for its ability to explore creative boundaries, have signed a vintage with an innovative design. A testament to the creative dialogue between Dom Pérignon and Lady Gaga, this cuvée expresses the quintessence of their shared audacity and inspiration.

The vintage

The 2006 vintage was marked by a hot and dry climate that remained nonetheless contrasted. While July was scorching, August was unusually cool and humid. It was the summery feel during the month of September that gave the vintage its character: the areas affected by botrytis were dried out and the grapes ripened well above average. Harvesting began on 11 September and continued for about three weeks.

The vinification and ageing

Through its Dom Pérignon Rosé, the house captures the red essence of Pinot Noir in its typical radiance and captures the complexity of this grape variety in a bold and assertive blend. Developed over nearly twelve years, Dom Pérignon Rosé Vintage 2006 x Lady Gaga is the result of a slow and perfectly controlled transformation in the house's cellars. Thanks to this vinification where patience is key, Dom Pérignon Rosé is intense and spontaneous, offering a contrast between light and dark making this cuvée magnetic.

Nose

The aromatic bouquet is captivating, ripe and deep. First, the aromas blend spices and cocoa before vibrantly opening to fruity notes.
