Description
A fresh and well-structured Italian white wine
The estate
Prunotto is located on an estate rich in viticultural, cultural, historical, and traditional heritage. The wines vinified by this Italian estate possess the typical aromas of the grapes grown on these hills. The various vineyards of the estate extend into the best agricultural areas of Piedmont. The Antinori - Prunotto estate uses all the necessary modern technology to produce high-quality Piedmont wines.
The vineyard
The 50 hectares of this Piedmont property are located in Alba, equidistant from Barbaresco and Barolo. Antinori - Prunotto is established on a beautiful, smooth, and colorful plain in the Langhe and Roero region.
The vintage
The 2024 season began with a mild winter and some beneficial rains to partially replenish water reserves after the drought of the previous summer. Bud break occurred normally. Spring and summer were punctuated by showers, requiring rigorous management of the soils and green harvesting to ensure good sugar concentration and beautiful freshness. The Moscato harvest took place from September 4 to 16.
Vinification and aging
The hand-harvested grapes were gently crushed and briefly left in contact with the skins to extract the aromas. The alcoholic fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks until reaching 5% alcohol, then was stopped by a sudden drop in temperature. This Moscato d'Asti wine was then clarified, filtered, and bottled.
Blend
Moscato Bianco di Canelli (100%).
